YUSUFALI: Nor will ye worship that which I worship.

SHAKIR: Have you considered him who calls the judgment a lie?

YUSUFALI: Then such is the (man) who repulses the orphan (with harshness),
PICKTHAL: That is he who repelleth the orphan,
SHAKIR: That is the one who treats the orphan with harshness,

107.003
YUSUFALI: And encourages not the feeding of the indigent.
PICKTHAL: And urgeth not the feeding of the needy.
SHAKIR: And does not urge (others) to feed the poor.

YUSUFALI: So woe to the worshippers
PICKTHAL: Ah, woe unto worshippers
SHAKIR: So woe to the praying ones,

YUSUFALI: Who are neglectful of their prayers,
PICKTHAL: Who are heedless of their prayer;

YUSUFALI: Their covenants (covering) journeys by winter and summer,-
PICKTHAL: For their taming (We cause) the caravans to set forth in winter and summer.
SHAKIR: Their protection during their trading caravans in the winter and the summer–

YUSUFALI: Let them adore the Lord of this House,
PICKTHAL: So let them worship the Lord of this House,
SHAKIR: So let them serve the Lord of this House

YUSUFALI: Who provides them with food against hunger, and with security against fear (of danger).

SHAKIR: Have you not considered how your Lord dealt with the possessors of the elephant?

YUSUFALI: Did He not make their treacherous plan go astray?
PICKTHAL: Did He not bring their stratagem to naught,
SHAKIR: Did He not cause their war to end in confusion,

105.003
YUSUFALI: And He sent against them Flights of Birds,
PICKTHAL: And send against them swarms of flying creatures,
SHAKIR: And send down (to prey) upon them birds in flocks,

YUSUFALI: Striking them with stones of baked clay.
PICKTHAL: Which pelted them with stones of baked clay,
SHAKIR: Casting against them stones of baked clay,

YUSUFALI: Then did He make them like an empty field of stalks and straw, (of which the corn) has been eaten up.
PICKTHAL: And made them like green crops devoured (by cattle)?
SHAKIR: So He rendered them like straw eaten up?
